When i was young, you said "Bata" and people thought "school shoes."
It looks like they've evolved into other sorts of footwear, including the Motor Sandal.

Perfect compromise? Maybe if you want to lose your toes if you come off the scooter... wear closed shoes every time
Hehe, I wasn't being serious. I'm too chicken to ride without everything in the hottest weather - jacket, gloves, riding jeans, boots - to expose quite so much of my anatomy to road rash!
